    . Choose an efficient vehicle. Cars which give better mileage emit upto half the carbon into atmosphere causing less global warming. (See FuelEconomy.Gov Find and Compare Cars feature.)

    . Replace light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. Save cost on Energy and less carbon into atmosphere. it lasts longer as well.

    . Buy Energy Efficient electrical appliances. Look for Energy Star label on new appliances or visit their website at EnergyStar.Gov to find the most energy-efficient products.

    In the summer, you could try using a solar cooker for at least some of your meals, especially on the weekend. Building one could be a family project.
